Rule Change Effective April 1, 2024

• All CPE, renewals, and firm renewals will need to be complete by June 30. July
1 a late of $100 is enforced and non-renewal by July 31 will cause your license
to be involuntarily relinquished. Any licenses that are involuntarily relinquished
must reinstate.
• Defining and enabling an Inactive Status (3-02-02-05)

Exam Changes
• Removing the limitation of economic credits that can be used toward the
business concentration to gain licensure.
• Exam re-application fees will be removed.
• Exam credits will expire after 30 months instead of 18 months. This will begin
on the day of score release versus exam date.

Annual CPE Audit
• The rule change outlines what is acceptable to submit. This includes a
record of attendance and/or a certificate of completion.
• Reminders
a. All CPAs holding out must complete 120 hours of CPE over three years
with a minimum of 20 hours each year. 6 hours of ethics over the three
years is also required.
b. All CPE needs to be completed between July 1-June 30 for the
reporting period.
c. CPE cannot be carried over.
